“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” – Psalm 95:2, NIV

Many of us feel uncomfortable at the thought of singing to ourselves. In fact, many times, we won't sing corporately together in church for fear of someone else hearing us. It's important, however, to remember that we're called to praise God, not to impress other people with our creative abilities.

Simply turning on worship music and singing out to Him is a way to grow closer to Him. God welcomes our enthusiasm in the middle of praise!

So often we think our form of worship and praise must look a certain way, sound a certain way, or be viewed a certain way. But as surely as God made each of us unique, the way we connect with Him through worship is equally unique.

Sing to Him today!

God, thank You for the gift of music! Help me to use it to encourage myself and those around me. Let every song I sing, share, or write be an offering back to You.
